Mike Norvell’s Open Hearted Response to College Football Playoff Snub

Seminoles Rain Out from College Football Playoff

It’s heart wrenching news for Florida State faithful as their beloved Seminoles hampered from joining the College Football Playoff this 2020 season. Despite FSU’s success story this year, Florida State failed to land in the four resort, an eyesore for a program that have been edging for higher benchmarks following their ACC Championship title.

Unveiling his initial reaction to the news, Seminoles head coach Mike Norvell expressed his profound sorrow and bewilderment. “I was just hurt for our players and here’s a group that has put so much into this season and fought really hard to put ourselves in a position to be considered,” uttered Norvell in a solemn tone. He further added “That’s something that […] isn’t in our control — but the quality of work our team put forth certainly should have been.”

Nevertheless, the Seminoles remain optimistic as their journey doesn’t end with the College Football Playoff snub. FSU is headed to the New Year’s Six Bowl event, the Gator Bowl where they’ll be facing off West Virginia on December 30th. In lieu of the even, the college sports news website, Action Packed News is currently reporting live from the event. Follow the action here.
