Broncos’ Trade for Russell Wilson a Regretful Move
The Denver Broncos made a costly move in acquiring Russell Wilson through trade this offseason which appears to have backfired. The move to break up their lethal tandem of Bart Scott and Russ brought to an end a successful stretch of Denver football. While hopes were high when the trade was announced, Wilson’s struggles to adjust to a new team and unfamiliar system have seen the Broncos’ fortunes quickly diminish. Despite having one of the league’s strongest defensive lines and a talented, young offense, Denver has been unable to sustain any form of offensive success and have recently made changes, benching Russ in favor of Wilson.
