Brock Purdy’s Apology Deserved

The San Francisco 49ers have been a team to be reckoned with this season, coming away with a decisive win against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. The win, 42-19, had the Eagles struggling against the 49ers offense and defense, bolstered by the play of quarterback Brock Purdy.

Purdy showed poise and great skill with the ball, passing for nearly 300 yards and 3 touchdowns. His showing provided great evidence that shows he deserves an apology from Shannon Sharpe, of the popular show “FIRST TAKE”. Stephen A. Smith was quick to point out that Sharpe needed to “apologize to Brock Purdy” for doubting the quarterback’s ability to take the lead this season.

49ers’ Leadership During Game

The 49ers’ success can, in part, be owed to the efforts of head coach Kyle Shanahan and General Manager John Lynch. In 2017, these two powerhouses created a plan and began what many are now calling a “new era” for the 49ers.

The mashup of the offensive and defensive coordinators, Hardman and Saleh respectively, would become the powerhouse needed to give the 49ers an edge during their game against the Eagles. This strategy, paired with leadership from Shanahan and Lynch, gave the team just the right edge it needed to prove Purdy’s prowess and gain the win.
