Lions Coach Campbell Fuming After Controversial Call
Detroit Lions coach Dan Campbell was anything but pleased after a pivotal illegal touching call forced the Lions to redo their two-point conversion attempt against the Jacksonville Jaguars this past Sunday. The call ultimately dashed any chances of a comeback for the Lions, who eventually went on to lose 23-22.
Though Campbell didn’t say anything immediately after the game, he later told ACTION PACKED NEWS that the referees were “completely out of line” to make the call. Campbell pointed out that if the referees had paid closer attention to what was going on, they would’ve seen the pass from Lions quarterback Jared Goff was thrown from outside the pocket. As a result, he argued, the call should have been waved off.

Though the controversial call will likely haunt the Lions for quite some time, the team is now looking ahead to their next game against the Minnesota Vikings. Detroit will be hoping to avenge the tough loss to the Jaguars and, with Campbell’s fiery attitude, they’re sure to be prepared.
